Gallery of Restoration Work

Aside from the usual ravages of the elements and time, maps have the additional reqirements of maintaining dimensional accuracy and preserving fine detail. To this end, many maps (especially the larger ones) are composites of anywhere from 4 to 48 individual digital photographs. Thanks to Rutgers Special Collections for many of the maps.
